LaFontaine Steps Down as Sabres President

The Buffalo Sabres have announced that Pat LaFontaine has resigned as the team's president of hockey operations after a little over three months on the job.

The Sabres say LaFontaine is returning to his previous role working with the National Hockey League. LaFontaine's most significant move as president came in January, when he hired Tim Murray as general manager.
