Some interesting news this afternoon in regards to the March Madness brackets. Whether or not you filled out a bracket, this story will come as either a surprise or just plain humorous.

Earlier today when #14 Mercer pulled the upset of the tournament by beating #3 Duke 78-71, some co-workers and I began talking about how there was no possible way anyone would still have a perfect bracket.

Everyone was in agreement that after today, no one would be eligible to win the Quicken Loans Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge, and that Warren Buffet would be keeping his money this year.

Now, here’s where the story becomes interesting. In a story posted on Yahoo! Sports, as of 4:33 p.m. Eastern Time this afternoon (Friday), there were still 16 perfect brackets remaining in the Quicken Loans Challenge.

Yes, you read that correctly – sweet 16 perfect brackets remain.

Considering the various upsets that have occurred since Thursday – including wins by Dayton, Harvard and North Dakota – wouldn't you be curious to see how these individuals picked the rest of the tournament?
