If you're looking for a unique atmosphere and an out-of-the-ordinary menu selection,  you may be in the mood for Denver's Forest Room 5 restaurant.

The Forest Room 5 is known for large animal figures that can be found throughout the restaurant, some of which appear to be stuffed,  plus its rustic furniture and classic movies. It kind of has this storybook feel to it, which is why I give it the fantasy reference.

From the dinner menu, you could try one of their cast iron skillet pies - smoked mozzarella and bison, or a smoked bison sandwich, or a pickled beet and mixed greens salad. They do have house-smoked wings, which is probably more up my alley.

Happy Hour features an array of house cocktails, draft beers, bottles, cans, and wine.

The patio at Forest Room 5 has been named one of Denver's best by Eater Denver. It does look enticing.

It doesn't seem like a place you would take the family, but for a unique adult dining experience, it might be worth a try. It's been described as "fun and quirky."

You'll find the Forest Room 5 at 2532 15th Street in Denver. It's open Tuesday through Sunday from 4pm-2am.
