How about that rain earlier today in Grand Junction? Other parts of Colorado had it far worse. High winds blew over vehicles on Colorado's I-25, forcing authorities to shut down part of the interstate to some motorists.

Personally, I loved today's rain. My lawn and shrubs look like garbage. The precipitation was long overdue. While we received much-needed water, the eastern portion of the state received hostile winds. According to KKTV 11 News, commercial motor vehicles and lightweight high-profile vehicles were restricted on I-25 from mile markers 0 to 74 due to high winds.

Those driving such vehicles were told to stop and park. Unfortunately for some, it was already too late. A few vehicles had blown over and were blocking the interstate.

KKTV 11 News Facebook page was cluttered with comments confirming the report.
