The second round of the PGA Championship is off to a soggy start and a sudden stop.

The agent for Tiger Woods said in an email Monday that it's too early for doctors to decide whether the 14-time major champion can compete in the PGA Championship at Valhalla this week.

Opening-round play is underway at the Bridgestone Invitational, where Tiger Woods feels very comfortable. The defending champ has won eight times at Firestone, tying the PGA Tour mark for most wins at a single event.
