As the end of the school year draws near, summer youth jobs in Grand Junction are up for grabs!

Whether it's moms and dads who don't want their teens to be idle during the summer months, or whether it's teenagers trying to earn money to buy their first cool car, there is a scramble for the summer jobs in Grand Junction that are available.

On Thursday, March 16, Grand Junction High School Gymnasium will be the site of the Summer Youth Employment and Enrichment Fair.

Several exhibitors including Grand Junction Parks and Rec, Home Depot, Hilltop and others will be on hand to offer summer employment opportunities to high schoolers.

There will also be exhibitors offering all-day extended learning camps including Math and Science Camps, Mash Camps and others.

The event, organized by several local organizations, including the Mesa County Workforce Center, is free and open from 4:00PM-6:00 PM.

Summer will be here before we know it and the time to secure summer employment is well before the time arrives.

Obviously, attendance at this fair doesn't guarantee employment, but it sure is going to improve the chances. There is no assurance that after the last day of school there will still be jobs available so being at this event is a really good idea for teens and their parents.
