St. Louis can take over the top spot in the NHL's Central Division tonight. The Blues, who are tied for first with Chicago with 67 points, are on the road for a game with the Canucks in Vancouver. The Blackhawks are taking the night off.

The three teams tied for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference are all in action tonight. The Rangers, Maple Leafs and Hurricanes all start the day with 47 points and tonight New York is home to Dallas while Toronto is at Washington and Carolina is in Columbus.

The remaining games on the schedule feature the Islanders against the Avalanche in Denver and the Metropolitan Division-leading Penguins at Edmonton. The Pens have a whopping 15-point lead over second-place Philadelphia in the divisional race. Pittsburgh's 65 points are tops in the Eastern Conference.
