The Grand Junction Police Department is trying to identify the suspects who fired multiple shots from a handgun out of the window of an SUV.

On Monday, February 5, at 11:40 a.m. police received a report of a person firing a gun out of the window of an SUV in the area of 29 and G Roads. A witness told police they saw an older model Dodge Durango with black wheels and dark tinted windows and a person in the front passenger seat firing a handgun out of the open window.

After firing the shots, the witness said the vehicle quickly left the area heading down 29 Road. Police recovered three 40 caliber shell casings and two 22 caliber casings at the location the gun(s) were fired.
