We wondered how the cut-back on social interaction might affect Mesa Mall in Grand Junction, and now we know.

Mesa Mall announced Wednesday it is reducing its hours temporarily. The new hours will be 11 am - 7 pm Monday through Saturday, and noon - 6 pm on Sundays.

In a statement, the mall said the safety of their guests, retailers, and employees was their top priority and their intention is to follow the guidance of local and state health officials.

Particular retailers inside the mall may choose to have different operating hours inside the parameters established by the mall. Some businesses in the mall may be closed temporarily, and Mesa Mall has granted tenants the opportunity to do whatever is best for their particular business.

The mall also announced they are implementing disinfectant and cleaning practices each evening in addition to the regular cleaning they do during the day.

If you choose to go to the mall, we remind you to exercise the proper precautions such as six feet of separation and washing or sanitizing your hands as soon as you can after leaving the mall.
