Peyton Manning has become a member of another exclusive club. It’s so exclusive that Manning is only the club’s second member.

During Sunday’s game between Denver and Arizona, Manning’s 7-yard pass to tight end Julius Thomas for a touchdown wound up being Manning’s 500th career touchdown pass. The only other quarterback to throw 500 touchdown passes is Brett Favre.

One side note on this benchmark – Manning reached the milestone in 244 regular season games, which is 49 fewer games than it took Favre.

According to the Associated Press, Manning is hoping to surpass another record set by Favre. Currently, Favre holds the record of 508 touchdown throws. Manning figures he will surpass that record later this month.
