Will tonight be the night? Will the Philadelphia 76ers snap their team-record 24-game losing streak when they face the Spurs in San Antonio?

If they should lose, and based on the Spurs being one of the better teams in the league that's a distinct possibility, the Sixers would be just one win shy of equaling the longest losing streak in NBA history, as set by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In San Antonio, the Sixers are facing the top team in the Western Conference as the Spurs are 53-16, two games in front of Oklahoma City. The Thunder this evening are home to Denver's Nuggets.

In a game featuring two of the league's top teams the Blazers are facing the Heat in Miami. Portland sports a record of 45-25 while the Heat are 47-21. In the East, the Heat trail Indiana by three games for the top seed while the Blazers are 6 ½ games back of the Thunder in the Northwest Division. Indiana by the way is in Chicago this evening for a game with the Bulls.

The Nets can gain some ground tonight in their battle with Toronto for first-place in the Atlantic Division. The Nets, who start the day just 1 ½ games back of the Raptors, are at New Orleans while Toronto has the day off.

The remaining games tonight have Houston at Charlotte, Phoenix playing in Atlanta, the Grizzlies home to Minnesota, Detroit at Utah and the Clippers hosting Milwaukee.
