How Much Would it Cost to Attend Super Bowl LIV?

After the NFL games over the weekend, we now know Super Bowl LIV will feature the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the San Francisco 49ers. It should be a good game to watch from right here in Colorado because after finding out how much it would cost you to attend the game will cause you to become ill.

My wife is a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan she was born not far away from the Chiefs 'Arrowhead Stadium' so I had to dream about how much it would cost to take the trip. I can promise you we will not be making the trip this year or any year in the near future as you have to have tens of thousands of dollars to make the trip, seriously.

Let's look at the figures, for the cheapest tickets on StubHub to see the game in person on Sunday, February 2nd at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida you're looking at between $4,700 - $4,800 PER TICKET.

Then you need to book a flight and hotel from Grand Junction to Miami on Super Bowl weekend. Let's just say you fly out on Friday and come home Monday after the game. Through Expedia booking the cheapest option available at a 2 1/2 star hotel you're adding another $900 per person. This option is still 46 minutes away from the stadium so you're going to pay a lot in Uber or Lyft rides, or you will need to rent a car.

All of this is without factoring in food, beverages, and souvenirs showing that you took the trip to the big game. This trip could easily cost a couple $13,000 if not more.

Since we don't have that type of money to throw around we will be at home on the couch eating lots of chips and queso as we watch the Super Bowl LIV this year.
