The Grand Junction Police Department is trying to identify a man who stole a hand-held scanner from a Grand Junction store.

The theft happened on Thursday, September 13 around 3:15 a.m. from the Walmart store at 2545 Rimrock Avenue.

While in the store, the man pictured stole a TC70 electronic handheld scanner used by employees to read barcodes and other tasks associated with merchandising. The scanner is worth over $800.

Police say the man is 35 to 40-years-old, 6-feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. The suspect has a mustache, goatee, and a tattoo on his right forearm. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a white t-shirt with dark cargo shorts, green flip-flops and a Camo Boonie hat.
