Punching and Tackling a Cop is a Quick Ride to Jail

What happens when you punch and tackle a cop? You go straight to jail. One Grand Junction man was "shocked" when he found this out.

"I was just trying to help my boy," isn't an excuse that will get you out of if either.

Around 11 a.m.Thursday (Sept. 8), some dude was taking a leak in the parking lot at Colorado Mesa University, leading a Grand Junction police officer to investigate why he was "watering" the pavement.

During the awkward bathroom chat, the officer was sucker-punched and tackled by 19-year-old Nick McMartin. After the officer broke free, the little bitch, McMartin took off running. McMartin must not have been a track star, the cops caught up to him, tazed (see shocked above) and cuffed for a one-way ticket to the clink.

McMartin was arrest for assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, obstructing a police officer, and underage marijuana possession.

Sometimes bad decisions are fun, this isn't one of those times.
