Homer Simpson would be jumping for joy if he saw what was in the sky over Grand Junction this morning.

Staring into the sky always results in amazement. Whether it's the night sky peppered with distant stars or you see a fluffy dog or kitty in the clouds.

This is known as pareidolia, the term describing seeing random things in "data" like clouds or patterns in the distant. The Colorado mountains are no stranger to this phenomenon.

While outside enjoying some fresh air behind the studios, I looked up to see this "donut" in the sky. Mmm... donuts.

I'm not sure what's going on here. Maybe someone blew a HUGE smoke ring, or someone is playing ring toss with the antennas. Or maybe it's a natural thing. Anyone a meteorologist?
