"Goose" Gossage will be in Denver Tuesday to help promote the National Baseball Hall of Fame's new commemorative coin.

The Hall of Fame pitcher is scheduled to visit the Denver Mint, where the half-dollar coin is being produced. The limited edition coin celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Hall of Fame, with some of the proceeds going to support its operations in Cooperstown, New York.

Gossage was born in Colorado Springs and played for nine teams during his 22-year career, including the 1978 world champion New York Yankees.
