You may have seen some really big snakes, but none compares to the prehistoric monster that slithered into Fruita's Dinosaur Journey Museum.

The snake has an intimidating name, Titanoboa. Scientists estimate these serpents could grow up to 42-feet long and weighed 2,500 pounds.

Titanoboa is not a venomous snake so it's not the bite that killed its prey. This snake wrapped itself around what it wanted to kill and gave it a death crushing squeeze.

The snake will be on display through August 5, but on Friday, (May 19) as part of National Museum Month, Dinosaur Journey will offer free admission from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Dinosaur Journey is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. with regular admission $9 Adults, $7 Seniors, $5 Children, and $25 Immediate Family. Museum members receive free admission anytime.

'Squeeze' some time into your family's schedule and see this prehistoric constrictor.
