September 22 is the first day of fall, and that's not too far away.

Funny how the summer just seems to slip away, isn't it? But the fun doesn't end when summer does, and we have plenty of things to do as we get into fall.

The 30th anniversary of this great event runs from October 4-7 in Durango and as always there will be poetry readings, music, and great food. If you have never attended an event like this, make this your year. A few days that can transport you to another time.

Fall means Leaf looking

As the colors start to change, there are a number of great places to enjoy the colors. Glenwood Canyon, the Grand Mesa, and Rocky Mountain National Park are just a few places you can go. Get some friends together and go check out the changing of the colors.

You still have a little time to plan for this one. October 13 at Los Colonias Park, you can celebrate October the way you like to. With beer. A lot of beer. Over 20 breweries and cideries will be there, ready to serve delicious brews. And you can customize your experience as well. Don't miss it!

Starting October 1, you can once again relive your childhood, or add new memories at Studt's. And there are more things to do than just walk the maze. Pony rides for the kids, horsedrawn hayrides and more. If you have never been, it's time to start a new tradition.

Estes Park hosts this event on September 30, October 1. You can hear the elk calls all day long at this event. You will most likely see quite a few elk as well. The event is free and is a great way to learn even more about one of the most beautiful places in the state.

Have fun this fall with these and other fun things to do.
