A group of Fruita Middle School Students is truly showing the spirit of the season as Christmas.

Fruita Middle School 7th grader Paige Hope led students to collect Christmas gifts for residents of Family Health West.

A total of 135 residents are receiving gifts including games, crafts, books, socks, slippers, and movies. Some of these residents have no family close by to share Christmas with. The gifts are being delivered Thursday afternoon to the Courtyard Care Center and will help ensure that each resident receives a special gift this Christmas.

This is what Christmas is all about. It's the spirit of giving. At a time of year when most people are celebrating with family, there are those who are alone and lonely. Thanks to these young people in Fruita, Christmas will be a little brighter for these Family Health West residents.
