Palisade hosted the 11th annual Unknown Motorcycle Show this last Saturday. Hopefully, you had a chance to attend. If you didn't, here is some of what you missed.

Palisade has hosted this event under another name, the Annual Vintage Motorcycle Days, for ten years. I've been involved with all but the first year's. This year, its 11th, came with a few changes.

Put simply, motorcycle enthusiasts from literally all over the country bring their motorcycles to 3rd and Main in Palisade for this one-day event. You'll see everything from museum pieces to rat bikes. This year, several bikes came in from Ft. Collins, and a handful of others came in from out-of-state.

Judging categories include:

  • American
  • British
  • European
  • Garage
  • Asian
  • Rat Bike
  • Sport/Racing
  • Flat-Track & Dirt Bike
  • People's Choice
  • Longest Distance Driven
  • Longest Distance Towed

New this year was the Mayor's Choice Award. The Mayor himself dropped by to present this trophy.

This really is a fun event. I know for a fact it will be back in 2020. As a matter of fact, it has already been scheduled for June 6, 2020.
