It is seeming more and more unlikely that Colorado is being chosen as the location for a second Amazon headquarters, but, officially, Colorado has not been eliminated from contention.

A group of representatives was in Denver earlier this year to consider the city's bid for the headquarters, which brings with it an estimated 50,000 jobs. Denver was one of 20 cities selected as a finalist from an initial pool of 238 cities making a bid.

It is not known if Amazon officials made a second visit to Denver, but there are reports circulating that Dallas, Queens, New York, and Crystal City, Virginia have received second visits.

Regardless of this outcome, Colorado has benefited this year from Amazon expansion with a warehouse in Thornton and an Amazon 4-Star Store that open recently at a mall in Lone Tree.

Amazon said previously they would make the final announcement in 2018, so it shouldn't be much longer before we know definitively whether or not the company's future plans involve Colorado.
