The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) released its weekly football standings on Monday, which included naming this week’s players of the week.

Colorado Mesa University sophomore linebacker Marcus Cross was named this week’s RMAC Defensive Player of the Week. Cross was instrumental in Saturday’s CMU win over Western New Mexico, including a pick-six with 1:11 remaining in the game to help seal the 45-35 win. Cross also had two interceptions and recorded ten tackles.

The RMAC also named Colorado State-Pueblo’s Cameron McDondle as the Offensive Player of the Week, and New Mexico Highlands’ Zach Tapia as the Special Teams Player of the Week.

Colorado Mesa is 5-2 overall on the season, and will host Fort Lewis for Homecoming this Saturday (October 25). Game time is at 7 p.m. at Stocker Stadium, and can be heard on ESPN Radio 1230.
