No. 1 Mississippi State visits fourth-ranked Alabama in a battle of SEC rivals that are trying to solidify their bids for one of the four College Football Playoff spots.

Heisman Trophy candidate Dak Prescott leads the 9-0 Bulldogs, who hold the top spot in the CFP rankings. He's averaging 334 yards in total offense, which is 59 yards more than Alabama's league-leading defense is allowing. While Mississippi State is riding a program-best 13-game winning streak, they are facing a daunting test at Tuscaloosa.

The 8-1 Crimson Tide has won 13 straight at Bryant-Denny Stadium and outscored it four opponents there this season 194-33. Alabama is fifth in the CFP rankings.

Second-ranked Florida State dropped to three in this week's CFP poll. But nobody's been able to beat the Seminoles lately. They take a 25-game winning streak and 9-0 record on the road to Miami in a renewal of their rivalry with the Hurricanes.

TCU climbed into the fourth and final playoff spot in this week's CFP rankings and will be looking to impress the minds of the committee members. The 8-1 Horned Frogs travel to Kansas for what could be a wintry meeting. Temperatures are forecast to be in the 30s with snow showers. The 3-6 Jayhawks are coming off just their second Big 12 win in the past four years.

Third-ranked Oregon, which is second in the CFP, has the week off.

There are 15 games on the top 25 schedule.
