“Christmas Vacation” Is on the Big Screen in Grand Junction
The classic movie "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" is on the big screen in Grand Junction this week for a special event.
It's hard to believe it's been nearly 30 years since Clark Griswald was lighting up the neighborhood with the grandest holiday light display of all time and entertaining his dysfunctional family.
For me, watching "Christmas Vacation" on TV is an annual holiday tradition. It's just what we do. Now the rare chance to see it on the big screen is truly a special treat.
This adult-only event happens Friday (December 22) at the Avalon Theatre in downtown Grand Junction. Here's what you need to know.
Admission is $20 - but wait, here's the deal. This is an all-inclusive holiday date night.
Each guest with their admission receives one drink - cocktail, beer, or wine. plus a little surprise drink--some Griswalk eggnog perhaps?? And there's a themed hors d'oeuvres display, popcorn, and, of course, the movie on the big screen.
It sounds like a wonderful holiday date night - and a classic Christmas movie.
