Chinese state broadcaster CCTV has secured the Chinese broadcast rights to four Olympics through 2024.

The International Olympic Committee announced the deal Thursday. Terms were not disclosed.

CCTV was granted the exclusive rights to the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the 2022 Winter Games and 2024 Olympics. The host cities for the '22 and '24 games haven't yet been selected.

Beijing is vying with Almaty, Kazakhstan, to host the 2022 Winter Games. The IOC will select the winner next July.

CCTV already holds the Chinese rights to the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

IOC President Thomas Bach says CCTV has "demonstrated many times their ability to bring first-class coverage of the Olympic Games to hundreds of millions of Chinese people."
