This Denver Broncos star running back is just biding his time.

Phillip Lindsay is not an NFL millionaire. Not yet, at least. But, from everything we have seen from him on the football field, it's just a matter of time before he is. Until then, he's doing everything he can to save money, and that includes living at home with his parents.

Lindsay was signed by the Broncos as an undrafted free agent. That fact says nothing about his talent, but everything about how much the Broncos have to pay him - which isn't much by NFL standards. According to Hero Sports, Lindsay will earn just under $500,000 this season, and slightly more each of the next two seasons.

Sure, $500,000 is a lot of money to most of us, and it probably is to Phillip Lindsay as well, but he's not taking any chances. He says he's wanting to save his money and be "smart" with it. Who knows what "luxuries" he has afforded himself, but he's saving a ton of money right now by shacking up at home.

That means, for now, at least, staying with mom and dad and sleeping downstairs in his childhood bedroom. That is pretty cool stuff right there. It's the same place where this Colorado boy grew up dreaming about playing for the Denver Broncos one day, and now he's living that dream in real life.

At 5-8 and 190 pounds, Lindsay is pretty much going to be the smallest guy on the field, but there's no question he's one of the toughest. He runs hard, runs fast, and does nothing it seems but make positive plays for the Denver Broncos. Heading into the weekend, Lindsay ranks 8th in the league in rushing yards. Not bad for an undrafted dude.

It sure looks like a bright bright future for Phillip Lindsay. If he can stay healthy, that multi-million dollar payday is going to come. Whether he's still living with his parents by then remains to be seen, but here's a guy who has a good head on his shoulders. The Broncos are mighty lucky to have #30 on their side. Let's hope they take good care of him.
