Here's a look at seven bad news headlines from the last time we had Friday the 13th in October.

It's been a long time. The last time we had Friday the 13th in October was 2006 and I thought it would be interesting to see if anything bad happened on that particular day. After all, the superstitious among us would certainly be expecting bad things on Friday the 13th.

Of course, as you know, bad things happen all the time. It doesn't matter if it's Friday the 13th or Tuesday the 6th. If you're like me, you have no clue what happened 11 years ago on Friday the 13th. So, let's take a look back.

    A tugboat was pushing two barges off the Lousiana coast when they hit a natural gas pipeline causing a huge explosion. One survivor was severely burned.

    A chopper was making a landing approach in Afghanistan when a soldier fell from the helicopter. He died of his injuries at a military hospital.
