The Grand Junction Senior Theatre program just knocked it out of the park with last weekend's production of the classic H.M.S. Pinafore. If you're not involved with this awesome project, you probably should be. Here are 20 rock-solid reasons why.

The Grand Junction Senior Theatre is open to volunteers over the age of 50. You say you're not over the age of 50? Chances are you probably know someone who is. This amazing group includes actors, musicians, set designers, lighting designers, directors, and more. There's something for everyone to enjoy.

Last weekend's (March 17 and 18) shows were nothing short of fantastic. The production was excellent, the music was great, and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

For 20 reasons why you or someone you know should participate, look at the gallery above. Look at how much fun these folks are having. That could be you!

The program has been around for decades. Hopefully, you've seen some of their previous performances. The group puts on only one production per year, so don't let it pass you by.

What is required of the volunteers? Put simply, a little time, roughly a couple of months of rehearsals, and one weekend to present the play.

While we're at it, special kudos go out to the production's director, Rachel Nelson Fortner. The production quality of the show was absolutely fantastic.

Get involved with this amazing program. If you're 50-years-old or older, or even if you know someone who is, and feel a desire to be creative, get on board. The Grand Junction Senior Theatre's next project is only a year away.
