Have you seen the construction at the Johnson's House of Flowers building on North Avenue in Grand Junction? It appears to be a big project. Who's moving in?

For decades Johnson's House of Flowers was the place to go in Grand Junction. Sadly, it closed down a few years ago. Before you knew it the greenhouse had been demolished. Not long after, construction began on the new Starbucks. What about the main building?

Curiosity got the better of me. I stopped by earlier today to speak with the contractors. As it turns out, this will soon be the new locations for the GJ Gardner Homes offices.

You've probably seen several GJ Garner Homes construction sites all over the valley. If you take a look around Spyglass Ridge in Orchard Mesa, you'll notice probably three out of four homes in that subdivision are being built by GJ Gardner Homes.

Currently, their offices can be found at 561 25 Road. When the new offices are complete, they will close down their current location. They plan to make the move as soon as August.

Welcome to North Avenue, GJ Gardner Homes. I'm glad to see the old Johnson's House of Flowers building back in use. It was heartbreaking to see that building empty. It looks like Starbucks is getting close to completion, too.
