Brian Setzer is coming to Grand Junction, but the question everyone is asking is "who in the world is Brian Setzer?"

Brian Setzer's Rockabilly Riot tour is coming to Grand Junction on June 9 at the Amphitheatre at Las Colonias Park. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 16 at 10:00am. I'm telling you right now, I have a feeling this is going to be one amazing show and I'm putting it on my calendar right now.

    Brian Setzer is the founder and lead singer of the group Stray Cats, a rockabilly band that started in 1979. Their most famous hit is "Rock This Town," but they had other hits including "Stray Cat Strut", "I Won't Stand in Your Way", and "Bring it Back Again."

    BRIAN SETZER ORCHESTRA

    BSO, as it is sometimes called, is a swing and jump blues band that Brian started in 1990. It's a 19-piece orchestra, which is also known for it's Christmas music during the holidays.

    LA BAMBA

    Brian Setzer appeared in the 1987 movie "La Bamba", the story of rock and roll pioneer Ritchie Valens. Setzer portrayed rockabilly pioneer Eddie Cochran, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.

    THE SIMPSONS

    Brian Setzer received a unique distinction on television. He is one of a few musicians to be animated on "The Simpsons."

    Brian Setzer is recognized as one of the "greatest living guitarists."  Along with Marty Stuart, he was personally requested to induct guitar legend Chet Atkins into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
