To say that things are flowing a bit slow on Western Colorado's Dolores River just outside Gateway is to not know the meaning of slow. Check out the river this last weekend when compared to the exact same spot exactly one year ago.

Well, the video at top was the scene last Saturday, May 5, just a few miles west of Gateway, Colorado. Every year I head to this destination for the annual Pig Out.

Now take a look back to a spot along this same stretch exactly one year ago.

Quite a bit of difference, wouldn't you say? Areas south of this spot are already experiencing "Exceptional Drought" conditions. It's not hard to understand why.

How about a little good news. The National Weather Service does call for a chance of showers this Friday, May 11.
