Let's go back to a simpler time. A time just before the United States was pulled into World War Two.

One of the fun pastimes of that era was to shoot 8mm video of just about everything. Birthdays, weddings or just because were reasons enough to break out the video camera and start filming.

Filming while in the car was also fun because you could capture almost the entire trip and not have to miss anything.

Take a look at this video and see what Colorado was like in the late 1930's and early 1940's.

Though the film is grainy, the amazing views are easy to see. The vehicles, heavy and stout for the time are easily identified, and the stores along Townsend Ave are so clean and everything is so orderly.

Seems like the hunting trip these guys were on may have been a lot of fun.

What do you recognize from this video?

How much different do things look today?
