The Pioneer Baseball League and Northwest League of Professional Baseball have jointly announced the scheduling of a 2015 PBL-NWL All-Star Game.

The game is considered the first-ever meeting between the two leagues, and will feature top players from 14 Major League farm systems, which includes the Colorado Rockies.

The 2015 PBL-NWL All-Star Game is set for August 4, 2015, and will take place at Avista Stadium in Spokane, Washington.

The All-Star Game will place the top talent from teams in the Pioneer League (including the Grand Junction Rockies) against the best players from teams in the Northwest League.

According to Pat O’Connor, president and CEO of Minor League Baseball:

The Northwest League and Pioneer League are two prominent short-season leagues in Minor League Baseball. To combine the two and showcase the talented individuals from 14 Major League farm systems is a win for everyone, especially the fans.”
