Two Bowl Games on Tap Tuesday

Lots of players taking part in the inaugural Boca Raton Bowl will be celebrating a homecoming of sorts when Marshall takes on Northern Illinois tonight.

Thundering Herd quarterback Rakeem Cato estimates he has 30-plus teammates, who like him, are from Florida. Northern Illinois boasts 11 Floridians on the roster.

Marshall is 12-1 including the school's first Conference USA title. Northern Illinois won their third Mid-American Conference title in four years, finishing with an 11-2 record.

You would think that San Diego State would have the home town advantage in the Pointsettia Bowl in San Diego. But Navy should have plenty of support with the huge local naval base in town.

The Aztecs are playing in their school-record fifth straight bowl game while the Midshipmen are trying to win a bowl game in back-to-back years for just the second time in school history. Both teams take 7-5 records into the game.
