If you have the desire to be a contestant on The Price is Right but are reluctant or can't afford to travel to California, you're in luck. The Price is Right Live is coming to Colorado.

The Price is Right is the longest continuously running game show in television history first airing in 1956 with host Bill Cullen. In 1972, the show was updated and Bob Barker took over the hosting duties until his retirement in 2007. Current host Drew Carrey has been at the helm since.

The first Colorado show is Tuesday, December 5 at 7 p.m. and is being held at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland. Call 1-877-544-TIXX (8499) or buy tickets online at the Budweiser Event Center website.

The event center explains what to expect at the live show.

The Price is Right Live™ is the hit interactive stage show that gives the eligible individuals the chance to “Come On Down” and play classic games from television’s longest running and most popular game show. Contestants can win cash, appliances, vacations and possibly even a new car by playing favorites like Plinko™, Cliffhangers™, The Big Wheel™ and the fabulous Showcase."

The second Colorado show is at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6 at Bellco Theatre in Denver. Call 303-223-8000 for information or purchase tickets online at the Bellco Theatre website

Ticket prices range from $33 to $60. Over the 10 years of the traveling The Price is Right Live, most shows are at or near sellout so buying tickets now is ideal.

With a combined total of over $12 million worth of prizes awarded during the last ten years, attending the show could make you the next contestant who's name is called and asked to 'Come On Down!' to win your share of those magnificent prizes.

Those attending who wish to be among the pool of eligible contestants should arrive at the venue 3 hours before showtime and fill out a contestant registration form. Registering as a contestant does not guarantee you will actually be selected to play.
