The Colorado Riverfront Trail is an absolute joy for western Colorado hikers, bikers, and nature lovers, but here is the segment you might have missed.

The Clifton Nature Park has been around for about four years, but a lot of people don't even know it's there. The park is located east of 32 Road on D road.

This section of the riverfront trail features ponds, limited access to the river, and connects up with Corn Lake to the west.

The trail gets a lot of users from dog-walkers, bikers, joggers, and fishermen.

It's a great section of the trail, however, a bit marred from dog feces that wasn't picked up by  dog-owners, and a make-shift residence on the river's edge, despite a sign that says "No Overnight Camping."

Still, it is a wonderful place to go to enjoy the great outdoors and for residents on the east side to enjoy the riverfront trail.
