A sure indication that spring has arrived is the opening of the Star Drive-In Theatre in Montrose.The Star Drive-In Theatre's first open weekend of the season will be March 31-April 2 and the opening movie line-up has been set.

They'll start the evening off with the family-friendly animated feature "The Boss Baby" which opens that same weekend in theaters. The movie features the voices of Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, and Lisa Kudrow and is rated PG.

The second feature of the night is the highly-acclaimed "Hidden Figures" which tells the story of the African-American women working at NASA during the launch of John Glenn into orbit. The movie stars Kevin Costner, Octavia Spencer, and Kirsten Dunst. "Hidden Figures" is rated PG.

One of the cool features at the Star is that the movie sound is available via the traditional in-car speaker system, or you can listen by way of FM radio.

Drive-in movie theaters are a dying American breed, but the Star Drive-In is alive and well, now in its 68th  year of continuous family ownership. The first movie fires off at dusk and admission is $8.50 for adults, while kids 11 and under get in free.
