Top seed Serena Williams looks to extend her U.S. Open winning streak to 19 matches when she meets Flavia Pennetta tonight in quarterfinal play. The two-time defending champ has dominated Pennetta with a 5-0 career record while losing just one set against the Italian.

Williams has cruised through her first three matches losing just 17 games.

Victoria Azarenka has been runner-up to Williams at Flushing Meadows the last two years. The 16th seed takes on Ekaterina Makarova (ma-kah-ROH'-vuh) in a quarterfinal meeting this afternoon.

In men's play, top seed Novak Djokovic (JOH'-koh-vihch) takes on former champ Andy Murray in the quarters. Djokovic has won 12 of 20 meetings between the two, but two of Murray's victories have come in grand slam finals.

Tenth seed Kei Nishikori will be trying to become the first Japanese player in 81 years to reach a grand slam semifinal when he faces third seed and Australian Open champ Stan Wawrinka (vah-VRINK'-uh).
