The Grand Junction Rockies returned to Suplizio Field Tuesday evening and began their 7-game homestand with a 13-5 win over Billings.

The Rockies began their commanding lead in the second half of the game, scoring four runs in the sixth inning and four runs in the seventh inning.

Tuesday’s win extends the Rockies’ winning streak to six games, which is the team’s highest winning streak so far this season.

The Grand Junction Rockies will play their second game of their series with Billings tonight at 7:05 p.m. Tonight’s game will have a peach theme in an attempt to celebrate the start of the Palisade Peach Festival this weekend.
