The Traveling McCoury's bring their combination of "sacred steele, R & B, and bluegrass to Western Colorado this week.

Buckwheat Zydeco was originally scheduled to play this Thursday, August 4 at the James M. Robb Colorado State Park in Fruita to wrap up the Riverfront Commission's summer concert series.  However, Stanley "Buckwheat" Dural, Jr. is recuperating from "respiratory issues" and doctors have advised additional rest.

In their place will be the Traveling McCoury's,  a group of incredible musicians that will thrill bluegrass fans in Western Colorado. You can tell from the video these guys are top-notch!

Ronnie and Rob McCoury are the sons of bluegrass legend Del McCoury and are continuing the family tradition of bluegrass. The band is traditional - yet progressive- in their style and presentation which gives them a fresh and exciting sound and feel.

Tickets for the concert are available at City Markets for $3. The gates open at 6PM and show time is 7:30PM.

This is another fundraising concert for the Colorado Riverfront Commission.
