The Colorado-based American Developmental Football League is adding a team in Powell, Wyoming.

The Powell Tribune reports tryouts for the Northern Wyoming Timberwolves are set for Saturday, Sept. 27 at Byron High School for players ages 18 and older.

The nonprofit team has a $25 tryout fee and a $50 team fee for those who make the team. Players and coaches are not paid.

General manager Joshua Gruell of Byron says the ADFL is often used as a recruitment pool for larger semi-professional football leagues. He says it also gives athletes another chance to play the game they love.

Gruell says if all goes well, the team's inaugural season will begin next May.
