NFL Week 12 Sure-Fire Picks: Patriots Don’t Stop Winning This Week

Thanks to the completely inconsistent Cleveland Browns who laid an egg last week, I was 3-1 on Sure-Fire Picks last week bringing my season record to 31-8. This week I'm counting on a couple of cold weather teams to work their cold weather magic and help you with this week's Pro Football Pick'em picks.

NEW ENGLAND over DETROIT
The Patriots have looked like a different team since the return of tight end Rob Gronkowski -and Tom Brady has looked like a different quarterback. The Lions played Arizona tough last week, but failed to score a touchdown. This week, the weather will be a bigger problem for Matthew Stafford than the Patriots defense. If we are close enough to Thanksgiving that you can smell the pumpkin pie baking, it means the Patriots won't be losing at home - and certainly not to the Lions.
My Prediction: Patriots 17 | Lions 10

GREEN BAY over MINNESOTA
It's almost getting too easy to put my beloved Vikings on the losing end of a sure-fire pick- but last week's loss to Chicago perfectly illustrates why we have to do it. Teddy Bridgewater may be the quarterback of the future in  Minnesota, but the future is not now. If you're suffering from insomnia,  watch this offense for about five minutes and you'll be asleep in no time. Green Bay is getting better all the time, and even though this game is in Minnesota, the Packers will feel right at home.

My Prediction:  Packers 34 | Vikings 10

SAN FRANCISCO over WASHINGTON
Picking the Redskins to lose has become about as easy as picking the Vikings. What has been more difficult has been figuring out the 49ers. I keep thinking they are going to get better--and they don't. But, I still believe they will make a strong playoff push, while the only thing Washington is pushing for is another high draft pick.
My Prediction: 49ers  27 | Redskins  17

INDIANAPOLIS over JACKSONVILLE
There was a time when this match up would scare me, but this season, this may be the easiest pick of the week. The Colts defense didn't look that great last week against the Patriots, but this week it doesn't matter. This is the Jaguars. Andrew Luck is likely to have five touchdown passes by halftime and should be able to hit the showers early.
