Two men wanted in connection with a Utah murder were arrested Monday night in Grand Junction.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Department, 27-year-old Mark Mair and 19-year-old Elcha Hatch were arrested after a brief standoff Monday night.

Authorities were doing a parole check on an unrelated matter when they discovered Hatch was at 326 29 Road and believed Mair to be in the residence as well.

After setting up a perimeter, tear gas was deployed and the two men were arrested without incident.

Mair was arrested on a warrant for aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, and seven counts of felony discharge of a firearm and is being held on a million dollar warrant.

Hatch was arrested on a warrant for obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony and being held on a $10,000 warrant.

Both are being held in the Mesa County Detention Facility as authorities in Cedar City,  Utah continues their investigation into a Sunday murder in Cedar City.
