The accident happened around 7:45 p.m on Wednesday (June 20). Police responding to the accident found a man on the ground with injuries to his face and head.

Police have determined the man was riding a bicycle at the time of the crash. What they don't know is the circumstances of the crash, including whether a vehicle may have been involved in the accident.

People who were in the area around the time of the crash are asked to contact the Montrose Police Department. Even if you didn't witness the accident but saw the bicyclist riding, that information may help police determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
