Mississippi State is going to move up at least one more spot in The Associated Press college football pool after picking up its ninth straight win since last season.

Dak Prescott ran for two touchdowns and threw for another as the third-ranked Bulldogs whipped No. 2 Auburn 38-20. Prescott completed 18 of 34 passes for 246 yards and also rushed for 121 yards.

Mississippi State saw an early 21-0 lead shrink to 28-23 in the third quarter before Josh Robinson ran for his second touchdown of the game midway through the final period. Robinson had 97 rushing yards for the 6-0 Bulldogs.

Auburn's Nick Marshall threw for 209 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while also running for 100 yards.

The Georgia Bulldogs showed they are a lot more than just a Gurley show.

The 13th-ranked Bulldogs rolled to a 34-0 rout of No. 23 Missouri while running back Todd Gurley sat out due to a suspension. Freshman Nick Chubb subbed for the Bulldogs' top offensive threat and ran for 143 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Hunter Mason went 22-of-28 passing for 156 yards and a score. He also rushed for a touchdown for the Bulldogs, who had the ball for more than 42 minutes while gaining 379 yards on 87 plays.

In other top 25 play:

— Jameis (JAY'-mihs) Winston completed 30 of 36 passes for 317 yards and three scores to lead top-ranked Florida State over Syracuse 38-20. The Seminoles improved to 6-0 this season and ran their school-record winning streak to 22 games. Mario Penders scored twice for FSU, and tight end Nick O'Leary had a career high eight catches for 97 yards and a score.

— Bo Wallace ran for two scores on consecutive possessions and later threw a touchdown pass to lead third-ranked Mississippi to a 35-20 triumph over No. 14 Texas A&M. The 6-0 Rebels also scored twice on defense as Cody Prewitt returned an interception 75 yards before Mississippi returned a fumble for a TD.

— Fifth-ranked Baylor pulled out a 61-58 win over No. 9 TCU on Chris Callahan's 28-yard field goal as time expired. Bryce Petty threw six touchdown passes for the 6-0 Bears, including a 25-yarder to Corey Coleman with 4:42 left in the fourth that tied it at 58. Petty had 510 passing yards and two interceptions.

— Everett Golson overcame his three turnovers by throwing for three touchdowns to lead sixth-ranked Notre Dame past North Carolina 50-43. Marquise Williams threw two touchdown passes, ran for another score and caught a 23-yard TD pass from receiver Quinshad Davis late in the third quarter to give the Tar Heels a 36-35 lead.

— Blake Sims threw two touchdown passes and No. 7 Alabama bounced back from 23-17 loss at Mississippi by escaping with a 14-13 triumph at Arkansas. The loss is the 15th straight in SEC play for the Razorbacks, who have yet to win a conference game under second-year coach Bret Bielema (BEE'-leh-muh).

— Connor Cook threw three touchdown passes and Nick Hill ran for three scores as eighth-ranked Michigan State outscored Purdue 45-31. Hill ran for two scores and had a late interception return for a touchdown.

— Javorius Allen ran for 205 yards and three touchdowns, and Southern California survived a last-second field goal try to knock off No. 10 Arizona 28-26 on Saturday night. The Wildcats came up short when Casey Skowron missed his third field goal of the night, a 36-yarder that sailed wide right with 17 seconds left.

— Eleventh-ranked Oklahoma managed just 29 total yards in the first half before using several big-play scores to top Texas 31-26 in the Red River rivalry. The 5-1 Sooners took the lead to stay thanks to a 91-yard kickoff return for a score from Alex Ross and a 43-yard interception return for a touchdown from Zach Sanchez.

— Marcus Mariota (mar-ee-OH'-tah) ran for two touchdowns and passed for 210 yards and two more scores as No. 12 Oregon outscored 18th-ranked UCLA 42-30. Royce Freeman rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns to help the 5-1 Ducks bounce back from their only loss of the season last Thursday against Arizona.

— Tyreek Hill returned a kickoff 99 yards for a fourth-quarter touchdown before 16th-ranked Oklahoma State held off Kansas 27-20. Daxx Garman threw for 161 yards with a touchdown an interception, and Desmond Roland ran for 87 yards and another score for the 5-1 Cowboys.

— East Carolina trailed by 10 at halftime before Shane Carden led three long second-half touchdown drives to guide the 19th-ranked Pirates past South Florida 28-17. Carden completed 13 of 15 passes for 134 yards while engineering scoring drives of 84, 86 and 79 yards on East Carolina's first three possessions of the second half.

— Anthony Boone threw for 123 yards and a touchdown and Josh Sneed rushed for 102 yards and a score to help Duke upset No. 22 Georgia Tech 31-25 to end a 10-year losing streak against the Yellow Jackets. Backup quarterback Thomas Sirk had a couple of short TD runs for the 5-1 Blue Devils, who won in Atlanta for the first time since 1994.
