The LA Rams will practice this week at the Air Force Academy.

In preparation for one of biggest Monday Night Football games in some time, the LA Rams are headed to Colorado Springs. Just as the New England Patriots spent several days at the Air Force Academy preparing for their game against the Raiders in Mexico City last year, the Rams will do the same.

Next Monday's matchup is being hyped to the max. It pits the AFC's 9-1 Kansas City Chiefs against one of the NFC's best in the 9-1 LA Rams. The game could have huge ramifications for postseason seedings and possible home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Both the Chiefs and Rams made requests to the NFL to play the Broncos before their high elevation game in Mexico City, but the NFL denied them both. The NFL says they didn't want to give either team an advantage by giving them an additional week to play at altitude.

The Rams plan to arrive in Colorado Springs on Tuesday and practice through Saturday. Mexico City’s altitude is 7,382 feet. That's nearly identical to the Air Force Academy’s 7,258 feet.
