A homeless man in Grand Junction set a field on fire for the most ridiculous reason ever.

The Grand Junction police and fire departments responded to a fire in a field on 28 Road just south of the Brass Rail bar.

According to authorities, the homeless man, Charles Hoffman, 49, was living in the field and set it on fire because he was upset that it had been mowed.

Initially responding to an argument at the Brass Rail, officers saw Hoffman in the field and watch him ignite two fires.

The Grand Junction Fire Department was able to put out the fire after it grew to the size of a football field. There were no injuries or damage to structures.
