Are you looking for a seasonal gig and a few extra bucks? Do you "like to help"? Target announced today they will hire 100,000 temporary employees.

As I'm sure you are aware, the local store isn't looking to hire 100,000 employees. Target currently operates 1,816 stores. According to USA Today, last year Target stores around the world hired 70,000 temporary employees during the holiday season. This year, they are stepping it up to hire an even 100,000.

How many of these temporary hires will be for the Grand Junction location? If you crunch the numbers, you arrive at 55 temporary hires per each Target location.

When exactly will they be hiring? Target plans to host hiring events from October 13 through 15, 2017. Where can you apply? Head over to TargetSeasonalJobs.com.

Why? What's with all the extra seasonal help? As you can imagine, Target is in a tight race with other giants like Wally World and Amazon.com. Between increased action in their retail space, combined with online ordering, things are going to get a bit crazy in a couple of months.

If you're looking for a little extra cash, or hope to get your foot in the door with a major national retailer, here's your chance. Don't wait until the flood gates open. Head to their online application site and get the ball rolling.
