You're never too young or too old to fly a kite and the Colorado Kites in the Park Festival offers thousands of kite enthusiasts a chance to fill the sky with with colorful kites.

Ft. Collins' 10th annual Colorado Kites in the Park Festival is an amazing spectacle of the sky woven with a colorful display of kites dancing in the air with their only connection to earth a person and a string.

The kite handlers are joined by thousands of people who are there to see the eye-popping colors, designs and movement.

Kites in the Park is May 21 at Spring Canyon Community Park in Fort Collins. The free event is from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The festival also features kite ballet, battles, awesome demonstrations and a kite building station for the do-it-yourself builder or those eager to learn the art of kite building.

This may be the biggest and best kite festival in the state with around 8,000 people expected to converge on Ft. Collins from all over Colorado to see more kites than they can imagine all flying at the same time. It's a road trip worth taking.
