A Fort Collins city report says up to $24 million would be needed in new transportation infrastructure if Colorado State University proceeds with a plan to build an on-campus stadium.

The Coloradoan reports that the estimate from the city is intended to be a starting point for negotiations with the university. CSU President Tony Frank is expected to make a recommendation Dec. 5 to the university's Board of Governors on whether to build a stadium. It's estimated to cost between $180 million and $225 million.

CSU estimates that up to $30 million is needed in city work for a new stadium. That cost is included in the university's estimate for a stadium.
